Dewey’s Piano Party was built around a simple idea: everyone like to sing. Whether you aspire to win more Grammys than Beyoncé or you just like to hum your favorite song in the shower, everyone has a song (or many, many songs...) in their heart.
We create a space where people come together and sing for fun. Our parties aren't about being a good singer: they are about singing your heart out and having a blast doing it, no matter how good (or not!) you may be. Because we know that when people who like to sing get together, amazing things can happen. |
And we don’t just #Sing4Fun, we #Sing4aCause: a portion of proceeds from each party is donated to a not-for-profit organization that supports people in our local NYC community. Giving back is one of our core operating principles and is at the heart of why we do what we do. We’ve previously supported The Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care, The Center and The Coalition for the Homeless: Project Back to School, and our list of community partners will continue to grow with our business.
ABOUT DEWEY

Owner Dewey Fleszar got his first keyboard as a Christmas present at age 10. To everyone's surprise, he spent the day figuring out how to play Billy Joel's "She's Got a Way" by ear. As he played the song and his family sang along, he knew that he had discovered what would become his lifelong passion: playing the piano, and leading people in song.
Throughout middle and high school he taught himself to read music and seized every opportunity to learn new songs and play for people. He went on to study music at Ithaca College and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where he continued to hone his piano chops through formal study and work as an accompanist and music director. |

After moving to New York, he continued to nurture his love of leading people in song by hosting sing-along piano parties at his home. What began informally as "let's get a few friends together and sing for fun" quickly blossomed into an ongoing series of parties and a new community of friends. The parties, and the community, continued to grow beyond what his apartment could accommodate, and Dewey knew it was time to take his passion to the next level. After decades of bringing joy through song to his loved ones, he founded Dewey's Piano Party in 2018 so that he could share that same joy with you and your loved ones.
Every year he looks forward to the annual Fleszar Family Christmas Eve Sing-along at his family home in Seneca Falls, NY, where he has proudly played since 1995.
